  1. Confession Time: I haven't seen this movie yet. Somehow or another it got past me during its theatrical run, and since it was released on DVD I've been skiddish to rent it since I read about the copies out there that were pressed with poorly translated subtitles.

D'ya know if there's any way to know if I'm renting the good version?...'cause I'm really getting antsy to see it!

  2. Such an incredible film. They should force all the twilight fans to sit through this before they're allowed to see another twilight movie.

  3. An incredible film, despite the slow pace, that tries to explore how different individuals try to love each other by overcoming their differences. Besides, needless to say how amazing the special effects were. Finally, I haven't seen Twilight, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone says that the film is corny.

  4. As far as the DVD subtitles in "Let The Right One In" are concerned; some weren't translated exactly the way the movie's was. But even the movie's subtitles weren't perfect. In Oscar's first encounter with Eli, they both use different words that translate as "nothing". Her "nothing" though is almost identical to the English "nothing" minus the "h". Oscar's "nothing" sounds like "inig". As for getting a copy with the original translation, you might be in for a long wait.

  5. Honestly, I know there was a huge uproar about the subtitles being wrong, but I even it didn't effect the film for me. It's one of the best movies I've seen in a long time, and I hope everyone gets a chance to see it.

  7. The film is a masterpiece. The ending is one of the best in recent memory. I shudder to think that an American remake is happening...

  8. Actionman, you can't be serious? Is an American remake really happening? That would be disastrous. I would be like an American remake of Amelie. You just don't do that!

  9. That is so wrong to even think about a remake for this film. I loved it and just so you know it is available to watch on Netflix Instant Play for those of you with Netflix Accounts!

  10. I saw a trailer for this. It looks truly terrifying. Horror films with kids in swimming pools are always terrifying.
