I originally thought people would do 4 shots of one film, but Anh Khoi Do had a different take that is totally awesome! He took a common theme and did a still from 4 different films. End result, I loved it! And I hope to see more like it!
From top to bottom: Saving Private Ryan, Flags of Our Fathers, Band of Brothers, Passchendaele.
Just a little refresher on what Movies in Frames is:
So today I came across an excellent tumblr called Movies in Frames. As you can see, it's a pretty simple, but powerful concept. Being as image obsessed as I am, I was really turned on by this idea. Not only did I like the idea of making my own, but I wanted to open it up to y'all, the awesome people that you are. So now I ask you, send me your "movies in frames." Limit it to 4 images only (hard I know), and they can be the general theme of the film, or even a more confined theme (look at the above link for examples). I'll post them here on Do You Have a Flag? as well as my Flag? tumblr. I would REALLY love for this to be an ongoing thing. Meaning, whenever you think of a good movie to do, make one, and send it my way at cheerfuld8@gmail.com. Consider it a new series if this works.
Send me more please, I love it! Email cheerfuld8@gmail.com

Awesome! What program are you guys using to make these! I can't get my lame-ass computer to do it.
If you are able to use widgets on your mac, then download this one http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/business/screenshotplus.html
that's how I do all my screenshots! You can pull portions of the screen on do a full window and then crop in preview.
Hope this helps! See what you can come up with. If you don't have a program where you can put the shots together in one image, email me the images and I'll put them together for you. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Thanks for posting my movies in frames!
I was thinking about taking frames from different films in order to illustrate a war in progress. After the victory (which we see in the second frame starting from the top), while some soldiers bring the wounded somewhere else, other soldiers come back to their loved one. Not really original, but anyway, the most important thing is that I tried.
@Blake:
I used Photoshop to make sure that all the four pictures are about the same size.
Yeah but I mean, what's the point? why don't you send the frames directly to the original tumblr?
